True, William Shatner channeling Palin’s “poetry” on Conan O’Brien is all over the Net now. But still funny. (Excuse the ad that starts it off.)

Heard David Karp, founder of Tumblr.com, in NYC...
#DigPub It was pretty neat hearing all about my favorite blogging/scrapbooking platform from the creator himself. At age 23 he was the youngest person at the Digital Publishing Group meeting, but extremely self-possessed and knowledgeable. Gave me lots of good ideas about how best to launch Glimmer using a consistent, dynamic blog and all the social media tools out there. He also hinted that...

Book loan invades my reading list
Have had Dean Koontz’s newest book Relentless, foisted upon me by a relative who wants it back “in a few weeks.” So I guess this is the next book I’m reading. Koontz tends to write in 1-sentence paragraphs with wide leading so shouldn’t be too much of a time suck. (Hopefully, won’t be a reading suck.) Meanwhile, on vacation in August, am looking forward to A...

The Best Actor Emmies--I actually have an opinion...
See my earlier post written after the last episode of Breaking Bad. I think everyone on that show (go, Aaron Paul!) deserves an acting award—even (especially?) I have no idea when the...

It was a sad state of affairs. I used to listen to the radio A LOT  and I hadn’t realized how far I had dropped off. Now that I work from home, I don’t use the radio to wake up and I don’t listen to the radio on...

@Brian Solis The Conversation Prism visualizes the wild landscape of social media. I’m finding all sorts of cool things like this while doing research for the design book GLIMMER.

Tagged meets its match? →
I’ve written about Tagged getting called on its spamming and phishing by the NY Times (see my June 20 post: http://happytoshare.tumblr.com/post/127021647/tagged-finally-got-called-out-for-their-shoddy). After reading that article, I said to my husband, “Someone needs to stop these guys!” “But who?” was the reply. Well, today we find out that Andrew Cuomo also read...

I watched this whole mesmerizing video featuring shadow hands not knowing the theme really (although eventually getting a glimmer). I’ll cheat and tell you: it’s about McCormick spice company based in Mexico(!?) Thanks to my favorite site CultureNow for allowing me to easily borrow it for my blog
