I just finished this book last week. It starts off slow and innocuous (why so much description of everything this guy is doing and thinking?), but builds to a really powerful and unforgettable ending. Personally, I also loved all the Ann Arbor refs. For fans of Richard Russo, Philip Roth, Richard Ford, Jim Harrison, and Ian McEwan.
