Just caught up with TIME magazine’s wonderful profile by Joel Stein of Viola Davis, star of THE HELP, opening tomorrow. I first saw Davis on Broadway in Doubt with Cherry Jones, and she was riveting and amazing (as anyone who saw her in the film version can attest). As Meryl Streep once said at an awards event, “The gigantically gifted Viola Davis—my God, somebody give her a movie!” This profile tells what’s come of that.
